Photo Assignment: Spring!!!

Spring has sprung! Shooting this assignment was so much fun. I have a million graduation shoots booked for this month. Spring at SMU is usually always so incredibly busy with rush kicking off the semester before classes even start, then spring break, then finals and graduation.
This grad shoot was one of my favorites this year so far. The seniors I photographed are some of my best friends and some of the first people I met when I came to SMU. Maddie is also one of my good friends and has actually taken this class before me and recommended that I take it as well.
All of these girls have helped shape my SMU experience and I know I wouldn’t love it as much as I do now without them. Brooke, Amanda, and Sarah are such amazing role models as well as friends. Maddie is an inspiring friend and fellow fashionista. We are in the same majors so it’s fun to walk through life in school with her.
I can’t believe that there are only 2ish more weeks of school left. I feel like we still have at least a whole month! But graduation is May 13th! Taking all of these pictures has made me feel so sentimental about my time at SMU coming to a close. I only have a year left, and it makes it seem as though time has flown by here. It also makes me wish I took photography seriously earlier than my sophomore year.
The photos themselves have been turning out beautifully. I started taking photos at 5:30pm earlier in March, but now as the days are getting longer the golden hour prime is around 6:30pm. It’s been funny to see everyone else out there taking photos on campus as well. I know a few of the other much-loved photographers who are out doing the same thing.
